Felix O. Lucero

Died 2024

Felix O. Lucero

Felix O. Lucero, age 75, of Belen, peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on March 21, 2024.

Felix, originally from Veguita, lived for many years in Belen, making it his forever home.

Felix is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Berna Lucero (2022); his parents, Manuel Lucero and Amalia Lucero; and his brother, Barney Lucero.

He is lovingly survived by his sister, Lovie; son, Matthew Lucero; daughters, Marie Sanchez and Jeanine Lopez and her husband, Ray Lopez; many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as well as his long-time friend who is part of our lives, Esperfia Mills.

Felix worked at Baca Auto Sales in Belen for over 20 years. He took his job very professionally to the point where almost every customer would request him personally to fix their vehicles. He was very organized with everything he touched, especially when it came to his hand tools. He’d say, “If you ever borrow my tools, you better put them back where they belong!”

Mr. Felix O. Lucero, USMC, a 75-year-old proud Vietnam War veteran was a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, who fought in the Tet Offensive in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969.

Services for Felix will be held on Thursday, May 16, at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. A visitation will take place at 9 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. Felix will then be placed to rest at the Tomé Catholic Cemetery immediately following the mass.

Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, where an online guest register is available at noblin.com.
