Francisco R. “Frankie” Esquibel

Francisco R. “Frankie” Esquibel, age 79, a resident of Belen, passed away on Oct. 2, 2023.  

Services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Friday, Oct. 13, beginning with a visitation at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., with interment to follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.  

He is survived by his only son, Francisco R. Esquibel Jr.; grandchildren, Joseph, Ceaira and Lizzy; brothers, Glissie, Roy and Tony Esquibel; and sisters, Martha Trujillo and Margaret Montoya.  

Francisco is preceded in death by his parents, Patricio and Amelia Carrillo Esquibel; and nephew, Joey Esquibel.  

He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Francisco proudly served in the United States Army. He loved carpentry and worked on many projects with his brother, Roy. Frankie also loved working with his father, Pat, on the family ranch outside of Socorro.  

Urn bearers will be Joseph, Ceaira and Lizzy.
