Pueblo of Isleta Gov. Max Zuni and tribal council members visited Los Lunas, Valencia and Century high schools on Jan. 24.

They met with 137 Isleta students across the three high schools in the district to discuss student concerns. They also talked about resources LLS and the Pueblo have to offer the students including tutoring, college campus tours and more.

They also spoke to the students about the importance of education, carrying on their culture and traditions and learning their Native language.

Some feedback the Pueblo representatives received was that Native students are seeking more mental health resources and more reliable internet access.

Student feedback also expressed feeling comfortable, safe and acknowledged within their schools.
