Cathy Lee, of Los Lunas, is a finalist for SilverSneakers Member of the Year award.

The nationally known SilverSneakers program has announced its top 10 Member of the Year finalists and Los Lunas resident Cathy Lee, 74, is among them.

Lee served a 20-year career as a senior center director in California, and understands the importance of senior activities.

Lee retired to New Mexico to enjoy a new lifestyle and found SilverSneakers classes for herself. After the pandemic interrupted her comfortable routine, Anytime Fitness and SilverSneakers have been a blessing to Lee the last two years.

She can experience group training, Zumba, Pound class, and one of her favorites, yoga, in a safe environment with other like-minded people. Or she can take live online classes, or recorded sessions, offered through SilverSneakers, all to enrich her commitment to better aging.

You can find more out about the finalist and cast your vote at moyawards.silversneakers.com.

SilverSneakers, the nation’s leading community fitness program for seniors, honors its members every year who positively impact and inspire others through healthy behaviors.

The Top 10 nominees’ stories are shared here for the public to vote and select the national award recipient.
