Sensei Brandy RunningWolf has been promoted to Sandan (Third-Degree Black Belt) Feb. 2, 2024, at Belen Goju Ryu Karate. Sensei Brandy started training at 9 years old and, now at 26, she is still training. She earned her Nidan (Second-Degree Black Belt) in August 2019.   

She has earned a master’s degree in occupational therapy, a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and a minor degree in English from UNM-Valencia and UNM Main. She is in the process of completing her internship and then will be working as an occupational therapist.   

Sensei Brandy was one of six recipients of the Capt. Tamara Long Archuleta Memorial Scholarship Program last year. She is married to Joseph RunningWolf and are the parents of a little boy. She is the daughter of Rick and Caroline Spicher of Belen.   Sensei Richard and Sensei Cindy are very proud of her continued training throughout the years.
