Thomas Glenda Marr Sr.

Thomas Glenda Marr Sr. went to be with his lord and savior on May 4, 2024, after his battle with Alzheimer’s. 

Thomas was born on March 28, 1939, in Fort Jesup, La., to Curtis and Delma Marr. 

Thomas was a truck driver and construction worker until his retirement in 1986. 

On Oct. 31, 1964, in Port Lavaca, Texas, Thoms married the love of his life, he and Dorothy were married for 59 years. 

Thomas was an avid fisherman. He loved spending his days at San Marcial surrounded by his family. Thomas was the first one to the table to play cards, dominos, board games and everyone wanted to be on papaws team. Thomas loved sitting on the porch drinking his coffee and going on cigarette runs to Kalamazoo. 

Thomas is survived by his wife, Dorthy Marr, of Belen; four children, Anida (Raymond) May Frierson, of Louisiana, Dana (Kendall) of Price Jena, La., Thomas Marr Jr., of Belen, and Tonya Marr, of Belen; sister, Gayla Self Many, of Louisiana; brother, Autry (Marilyn) Marr of Peason, La.; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Delma Marr; brothers, Thermen Marr and Frankie Marr; sisters, Louise Ritter and Hazel Belle Marr; and brother-in-law, William Self. 

Thomas will be remembered by his comical personality and loving spirit. Thank you to all his friends and family for all their love, support and many prayers.
