Virginia Vallejos Martinez, age 70, a resident of Los Chavez, passed away on May 31, 2022. She was the daughter of Narciso and Isabelita Vallejos.

Virginia was a devoted and loving partner, sister, mother and grandmother. She loved all her family and friends.

Virginia was little, but a firecracker when she needed to be but the sweetest person. She was so in love and proud of her children and grandchildren. Virginia loved going outside to cut weeds, have her cigarette and definitely a Pepsi with plenty of ice; she was always crunching on ice.

When it was payday, her and her granddaughter, Adrianna, would go on their day trip to pay bills and have a lunch date, which was special to her (Ruben and Virginia raised Adrianna, Jessica and Tecky).

Virginia is preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael A. Martinez; life partner, Vidal Ruben Baca; son, Michael Martinez “Tiger” Jr.; parents; Narciso and Isabelita (Chavez) Vallejos; in-laws, George and Emma Baca; siblings, Narciso Vallejos Jr. (Pilar Vallejos); brothers-in-law, Lawrence, Tommy, Fernando Baca and Danny Ramirez; and many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sons, John (Diana) and Steven (Gloria); siblings, Richard, Linda Valdez, Johnny, Rita (Fred) Vallejos, Jimmy, Toby (Grace), Michael (Maxine), Dolores Ramirez, Patsy (Frankie) Sedillo, George Baca, Josephine Baca, Lorraine (Phillip) Delgado, Helen Vallejos and Diedra Baca; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m., Monday, June 13, at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at the Moose Lodge.
