Casey “Cresencio” Cordova

Casey “Cresencio” Cordova, age 84, a life-long resident of Jarales, passed away on Sept. 18, 2022.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Friday, Sept. 30. A public visitation will take place at 9 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., with interment to follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.

He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. For more than 50 years, Casey owned his own barbershop in Albuquerque, called Sportsman’s Barber Shop.

He married his high school sweetheart, Ruth Gallegos Cordova, who preceded him in death after 54 years of marriage. Casey is also preceded in death by his parents, Esquipula and Escelina Cordova; in-laws, Espiridion and Casimira Gallegos; son, Casey Ray Cordova; and grandson Patrick Cordova.

He is survived by his son, Randy (Maria) Cordova and his children, Ryan, Gabriel, Cici, Celina Cordova; daughter, Doreen Romero (David) and her children, Jason (Erica), Joey, Michelle and Sheree Romero; daughter, Shirley Nesbitt and her children, Brandy Acevedo and Jeremy Nesbitt; Casey Ray’s children, Kenny Ray Cordova and Andrea Sanchez; brothers, Sam (Stella), Gil (Fran) and Marty Cordova; sister, Lydia (Fernando) Chavez; great-grandchildren, Sofia, Emilia, Nico, Analisa, Jayce, Jayden, Joshua, Caleb, Mariah, Iliana, Izaac and Zachary; and friend and companion, Crusita Mora.
