The Ladies Golf Association enjoyed several regular Wednesday and Saturday play days during August. The highlight of the month was the popular Grandma’s Tournament, played on Aug. 17.

Topping the 9 hole division was Marla Wersonick with Low Gross and Joanne Romero winning the Low Net.

In the 18 hole division, First Gross was won by Kathryn Bayless. Marilyn Winters took First Net honors.

The meeting day scramble on Aug. 3 was won by the team of Robin Boyd, Fran Griffeth, Cindy Hill and Jeannie Burleson.

Ace Day competitions were played on Aug. 10 and 13.  The 9 hole Ace winner was Ginny Romero, and the 18 hole winners were Edie Redfearn-Moore and Winters.

A fun day format of 3 Clubs Only was played on Aug. 24 with Tinky Ulivarri winning First Gross in the 9 hole division, and Griffeth taking First Net honors.

In the 18 hole division First Gross was won by Redfearn-Moore, and First Net was Fuller.

Earning Chip-Ins were Griffeth, and Jaramillo, with Fuller scoring two.  A birdie was scored by Bayless, and a rare Chip-in/Birdie was enjoyed by Murzyn.

Ladies who played in the NMSWGA State Championship Tournament this month were Gritteth, Boyd, Winters and Jaramillo. Griffeth and Jaramillo won Second Net in their flights.

In September, the Club Championship Tournament for both the 9 Hole Division and he 18-Hole Division will be played.
