Halloween Bash

The village of Los Lunas will hold its Halloween Bash from 5-9 p.m., Friday, Oct. 27, and Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Los Lunas Transportation Center. There will be music, games, candy, food, trunk or treat and a trick or treat house.

 

The Haunted Barn

The Haunted Barn will be held from 7-11 p.m., Friday-Saturday, Oct. 27-28, at the Valencia County Fairgrounds. Come out to the Haunted Barn to have a local scare by 4-H and FFA members. Admission is $5 per person.

 

Scarecrow Festival

The fifth annual Scarecrow Festival will be held from 3-6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, on Becker Avenue in Belen. The spooky event includes food, drinks, live music, kids jumpers, shopping and more. There will be contests for adult best costume, kids best costume and best scarecrow. The event is sponsored by the city of Belen and the Bugg Lights Museum.

 

Nightmare on Becker

The city of Belen will hold a “Nightmare on Becker” event from 3-9 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, on Becker Avenue between Fifth and Sixth streets. There will be a haunted house attraction with live scare actors, food vendors, music and a trunk or treat. Call 505-205-8493.

 

Dia de los Muertos Art in the Park

A special Dia de los Muertos Art in the Park event will be held from 11-3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, at Anna Becker Park, 315 N. Fourth St., Belen.

 

Halloween Moon Hike

A Halloween Moon Hike will be held beginning at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, at El Cerro de Los Lunas Trail Head on N.M. 6. There will be a costume contest, prizes, tricks and treats. The event is hosted by Los Lunas Open Space.

 

Family Fall Festival

A Family Fall Festival will be held from 2-5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, at Peralta Methodist Church, 25 Wesley Road, in Peralta. There will be games, face painting, pumpkin decorating and much more. This event is free, and there will be food trucks available on site. The community is invited to come and enjoy.

 

Fall Festival

St. Mary’s Catholic School will hold a Fall Festival from 5:30-8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, at Tierra del Sol Golf Club in Rio Communities. There will be a board auction, dinner and music by Daniel Solis.

 

VCHS Road Show

The Valencia County Historical Society is presenting its second annual Valencia County Historical Road Show from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29, at the Belen Harvey House Museum.

 

Trunk or Treat for A Cure

Melloy Auto Group in Los Lunas is hosting its fifth annual Trunk or Treat celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29, at its dealerships in Los Lunas. The check-in point will be the Melloy Ford dealership, 357 Emilio Lopez Road. The event is free but organizers are asking attendees to register in advance to make sure they have enough candy, and there is an optional donation of $5, which will support the Children’s Cancer Fund of New Mexico. There will be a scavenger hunt, costume contests with prizes for Best Family Costumes, Most Original Costume and Best Adult Costume, as well as a chance to enter drawings for big screen TV prizes. Pumpkin Hunt and Hay Ride

The Meadow Lake Parks Area Association will hold a Pumpkin Hunt and Hay Ride from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29, at the MLPAA property at the end of Meadow Lake Road. Free candy and bike drawings. Trunk or Treat

First United Methodist Church and Watch Me Grow Preschool will hold a Trunk or Treat from 3-6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29, at the church, 75 Manzano Expressway, Rio Communities. There will be games, candy, food, a cakewalk, treats and fun for the whole family.

 

 

Halloween dance

A Halloween dance will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Belen Senior Center, 715 S. Main St., Belen. DJ Wayne Gallegos will provide the music. Bring a nonperishable food item to be entered for a chance to win a door prize. There will be a costume contest, and St. Anthony’s Home Healthcare services will have a table with treats.

 

Halloween celebration

A Halloween celebration will be held at the historic Tomé jail and casita, 18 Church Loop, Tomé, starting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31. The jail and casita will be open to the public — decorated for the occasion and featuring some special guests at the jail — as well as trick-or-treating for the kids.

 

Trunk or Treat

Valencia County will hold its first Trunk or Treat from 4:30-8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Meadow Lake Community Center. Best decorated trunk will receive a prize.

American Legion Post 81 is hosting a trunk or treat from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the post, 325 S. Main St., Belen. Decorate your trunk and come participate. Candy donations are welcome; the post opens at 12 p.m.

The city of Belen will hold a Nightmare on Becker event from 5-9 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31, on Becker Avenue between Fifth and Sixth streets with a trunk or treat. Call 505-205-8493.

 

A Harvest Fest and Trunk or Treat, with games, music, food trucks and more will be held from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31, at Calvary Chapel New Harvest, 701 Main St., Ste. A, Los Lunas.
