Jason James Ulibarri

Our beloved son and brother, Jason James Ulibarri, age 36, a resident of Wikieup, Ariz., unexpectedly passed away on March 16, 2023.

Services will be held in Belen, and are currently pending.

He was a Belen Eagle football player and a graduate of Belen High School. Jason worked as an EMT. He lived in Belen and Alaska during his childhood with his family.

Jason was always looking for a new adventure, excited by new experiences living in multiple states and meeting new people. Some of his passions were playing guitar, camping, swimming and kayaking. Jason also enjoyed working on and riding his motorcycles.

He was loved and cared for by many. Jason loved helping friends and family and was described by friends as kind. He was always laughing and cracking jokes.

Jason will be deeply missed but is with his Heavenly Father and his father, Robert Ulibarri. He is preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Preme and Margaret Chavez Ulibarri; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Dee Garcia Castillo; aunts, Annette Castillo Garcia and Regina Ulibarri Chamberlin.

Jason is survived by his mother, Dr. Laura Castillo Ulibarri; brothers, Robert, and Dr. Adam Ulibarri; nephew, Granville Ulibarri; uncles, Ralph Jr. Castillo (Roseanne), Glen Garcia, David (Sharon), Charles Ulibarri (Joy Rimorin) and Jim Chamberlin; aunts, Vicky Erickson (Max), Cathy Vanpel (Ivan) and Dolores Silva (Mike); and many cousins.
