Katherine Lindenmuth, Bosque Farms, improved to 3-1 as a professional with a second round technical knockout April 8 at the Embassy Suites in Albuquerque.

Takillah Long of Michigan was added late to the fight card and was clearly outmatched in her professional debut. Lindenmuth landed a string of punches from the opening bell and early in the second round Long was in trouble.

“She was already pretty gassed,” Lindenmuth said. “I like to be able to finish a fight and that was our goal.”

After the bout was called, Long remained down in the corner for several minutes before she was able to leave the ring.

“I just have to work harder,” Lindenmuth said. “The next opponent is going to watch that (video of the fight) and find things that I should have worked on.”
