He was born in 1980 in Albuquerque. Jeremiah was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. Jet was a selfless and empathic man with a very kind heart. His charismatic nature and infectious smile always made those around him feel good.

He was a loving and loyal individual, who cherished his family, his passion for boxing and his dogs. Jet’s dimples were a constant source of joy and brought smiles to many faces. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Jet was preceded in death by paternal grandparents and founders of Pete’s Café in Belen, Pete and Eligia Gurule Torres; and maternal grandparents, Gilberto and Cipriana Baca Sanchez. He was also preceded in death by family members on the Torres and Sanchez family sides.

At the age of 18, he turned professional and dedicated himself to the sport. In 2014, he completed his professional boxing career after participating in 34 professional fights.

Later in life, Jeremiah became a full-time caregiver to his father, Michael, a role he fulfilled with honor and grace. He spent many years working at Pete’s Cafe, the family restaurant, where he formed lasting connections with the community he loved.

He will always be remembered for his positive energy, selflessness, empathy, and kind-hearted nature. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who were fortunate enough to have known him. To God be the glory.
