Juan Milton Cordova

Juan Cordova, age 87, a loving husband, father and community member, of Belen, passed away peacefully on Jan. 2, 2024.  

Juan was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church and was a local business owner for many years. He was the owner of Cordova’s Meat Processing as well as J & D’s Jerky for more than 25 years.  

Juan served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Air National Guard. He was proud of his commitment to his country.  

Juan is preceded in death by his parents, Maximilano and Romelia Cordova; his wife of 51 years, Dolores Cordova; son, Gilbert Cordova; and brothers, Tony and Andrew Cordova.  

He is survived by his five children, Robert (Vianey), Philip, Steven (Chrissy), Leonard (Cresta) and Renee (Carlos); brother, Max (Rosemary), sisters-in-law, Linda and Gloria; daughter-in-law, Liz; as well as a legacy of 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.  

Services for Juan will be held Tuesday, Jan. 16, beginning with a visitation and viewing at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, followed by a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass to be held at 100 a.m. A private interment will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later time.
