LEGAL NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a meeting of the Valencia County Board of Commissioners on June 21, 2023 at 5:00 PM a public hearing will be held for the purpose considering AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE SITING AND PERMITTING OF WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION FACILITIES. The purpose and intent of this Ordinance is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Valencia County by minimizing the negative impact of Wireless Telecommunications Facilities, by establishing a fair and efficient process for review and approval of applications per Federal, State, and Local Regulations, by encouraging the use of existing facilities, by promoting the improved appearance and functionality of any new facilities and ensuring that all new facilities are constructed using current technologies that are designed to conceal the site and to accommodate future growth. The Ordinance will also impose fees for applicants desiring to place new facilities whether on existing structures or new structures.

The Board of County Commissioners may vote to adopt the Ordinance at the regular meeting following the public hearing on June 21, 2023 at 5:00 PM. The public hearing and meeting will be held at the Valencia County Commission Chamber, 444 Luna Ave. Los Lunas, NM 87031.

Complete copies of the of proposed Ordinance are available for public inspection at the Office of the Valencia County Clerk at 444 Luna Ave, Los Lunas New Mexico and may be viewed online at www.co.valencia.nm.us .
