Martin Trujillo

Martin Trujillo, age 77, a resident of Los Lunas, and formerly of Jarales, passed away on Nov. 9, 2023.  

He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church as well as the Elks Lodge, where he was the proud recipient of a Commendation Award for his work with the drug awareness program.  

Martin retired from Los Lunas Hospital and Training School after 25 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling, playing guitar, camping, and crafting. His favorite musicians were Freddy Fender and Fats Domino. 

He is preceded in death by his grandsons, Justin Trujillo and Max Montoya; great-granddaughter, Angelina Montoya; parents, Erlindo and Anita Trujillo; brother, Antonio Trujillo (Sophie); and brother-in-law, Ricky White. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Florela Trujillo; daughters, Barbara, Cindy and Candace Trujillo; son, Martin John Trujillo; brothers, Danny (Donna) and Lorenzo Trujillo; sisters, Mary Ann Romero (Kenneth), Josie Peloguin (Paul) and Martha White; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 

Services for Martin took place Friday, Nov. 17, at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment followed at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. 

Pallbearers were Jimmy Trujillo, Matthew Ortiz, Justin Price, as well as Nicholas and Zachary Gallegos.
