Ronald “Rat” Moya

Ronald “Rat” Moya, age 63, a resident of Tomé, lost his battle with cancer on Jan. 30, 2024.  

A celebration of life will take place at his residence at 12 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 24.  

This humble gentleman was survived by his wife of 37 years, Tina Gabaldon Moya; child, Coretta Vining; siblings, Andreas and Enrique Rascon, Pat Moya, Betty DuMont and Lorraine Montoya; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Adelina Rascon; father, Refugio Moya; and brother, Mike Moya.  

Ronald was known for his warm heart and down-to-earth mild nature. He was easygoing and never critical. Ronald had the ability to make everything lighthearted and fun. All who knew him loved him.  

Ronald had an inherited love for collecting eclectic items and was a rare soul who saw value and beauty in everything. He had a passion for life and enjoyed expressing himself through his unique creative arts. 

Ronald lived each day enjoying simple things like fishing, listening to classic rock, riding his bike, making someone laugh and spending time with family and friends. His immense spirit will be missed deeply. Shine on you crazy diamond.
