Miguel “Mike” Baldonado

Miguel “Mike” Baldonado, age 78, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 1, 2023. Mike was a resident of Los Chavez for 58 years.  

Services will take place on Saturday, Sept. 9, at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. A public visitation will begin at 9 a.m., and a Rosary at 10 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., followed by Interment at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.    

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Adela, of 58 years; their surviving children are Barbara Michael and Mario Baldonado (Jennifer.) He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, who he loved dearly, Samantha, Angelica, Joseph, Matthew, Dyea (Tanner), Lorena (Tim), Faith and Korin; as well as three great-grandchildren, Keanu, Jaxton and Beau; brothers, Ruperto (Flora), Arturo (Louisa), George Martin “Marty” (Emily) and Felix Baldonado (Cheryl); sisters, Rosanna Cordova and Sylvia Garcia; his sisters-in-law, Martha Giron, Kathleen Gallegos, Dolores Gabaldon and Roberta Griego (Michael); and brother-in-law, Gene Gabaldon (Marystella).  

Mike is preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Secundina “Dina” Baldonado; parents, Remigio and Avelina Baldonado; father- and mother-in-law, Abelino and Josephine Gabaldon; brother-in-law, Denny Gallegos; his brothers, Secundino, Preciliano, Arsenio, Jose Eliasim, Antonio “Tony,” David and Guadalupe Baldonado; his sisters, Reina Baldonado Pino, Mary Helen Baldonado and, recently, Erlinda Baldonado Garcia.  

He was born in Jarales, and was the 13th child of 17 children. He was blessed with an abundance of nieces and nephews, who he loved dearly.  

Mike Baldonado was a kind and generous man who touched the lives of many, and he will be greatly missed. 

Pallbearers will be Matthew Skoog, Joseph Michael, Michael Layton, Mythias Layton, Lazarus Layton, Charles Giron and Gilbert Pino. Honorary pallbearers are Keanu Arvizu and Marco Garcia.
