Senior Olympic schedule set

The Valencia County Senior Olympics is taking registrations for the local competitions beginning next month (see event schedule below).

Events include free-throw shooting, tennis, talent, dance, horseshoes, track and field events and many others.

Men and women 50 years of age or older are eligible. The fee is $15 per participant. Late or on-site registration is subject to a $5 penalty.

Registrations are due at the local coordinator’s office at 715A South Main St. in Belen by 1 p.m. on March 1.
