BOSQUE FARMS — Bosque Farms police are investigating a shooting resulting in no injuries along the village’s main street.

At about 6 p.m., Thursday, July 6, there were multiple calls to emergency services for shots fired near the Blake’s Lotaburger at 1395 Bosque Farms Blvd. After further investigation and more calls, it was determined the shots were fired at the Lazer Wash car wash about a block south of Blake’s, at 1485 Bosque Farms Blvd.

According to a press release issued by Bosque Farms Police Chief Andrew Owen on the morning of Friday, July 7, there was an “alcohol fueled” dispute between people at the apartment above the car wash.

Residents of the apartment told a woman to leave. When she was picked up, two men got out of a black sedan and fired handguns toward the apartment.

“There is no evidence that any of the occupants (of the apartment) returned gun fire,” Owen noted in the release. “No one inside the residence was injured.”

With the assistance of the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office and Los Lunas Police Department, Bosque Farms officers were able to locate four suspects at Joe’s Pharmacy, 3646 N.M. 47, in the town of Peralta, south of the village.

The chief said the suspects are from the Meadow Lake area, an unincorporated community on the northeast side of Valencia County.

The suspects were questioned and released, pending further investigation into their involvement, Owen wrote.

“This is an active investigation where Detective Sgt. (Joseph) Harris is following numerous leads and continues to track down witnesses and video surveillance from surrounding businesses,” the chief wrote in the release. “There is no perceived threat to the public at this time.”
