Belen —The second annual Valencia County Historical Society Antiques Road Show was held Oct. 29 at the Belen Harvey House Museum. Exhibits included a powder horn that may have belonged to Daniel Boone, a teapot from Fred Harvey, some early 20th century art, a turquoise necklace from Okhay Owingeh, World War I soldiers’ song books, and a set of photos of early Belen.

Albert Deimer received the Most Historic Award for his father’s prisoner of war material, and two awards were given for the People’s Choice — one to Bernadine Baca-Spiers for her Harvey House teapot and one to David Ortiz for his set of early Belen photos.

The Valencia County Historical Society would like to thank the Harvey House staff and docents for helping to make this event so successful.
