Hollis “Hollie” and Linda Wilson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 7. They were married in 1971 at Immanual Presbyterian in Albuquerque.

Hollie owned and operated Wilson Rapid Yellow Freight Transit Line in Belen. He attended Belen Schools, New Mexico Military Institute and The University of New Mexico. He is a charter member of First Presbyterian Church in Belen, a member of the food bank board of directors, and enjoys model railroad and gardening.

Linda is a retired post office employee, and is a member of the N.M. Rural Carrier Union. She attended Albuquerque schools and UNM. She enjoys the choir, their grandchildren and church work.

The couple are members of the First Presbyterian Church of Belen in Rio Communities.

Their children are Hollyanna and Ron Hooks, of Corrales; Skip Hollis III and Julie Wilson, of Texas; and Seth and Marisa Wilson, of Albuquerque. They have six grandchildren.

They celebrated their anniversary with a get-together at their daughter’s home with extended family.
