RIO COMMUNITIES— The first of the Ace Day competitions were played on April 9 and April 20,  with Regina Trujillo and Marilyn Jaramillo securing wins in the 18-hole division, and Marilyn Winters winning in the 9-hole division.

Ace Day competitions will be held once a month,  with winners advancing to the Ultimate Ace contest in October.

The Partners Best Ball Tournament was played on April 13.  First Flight winners were Edie Redfearn-Moore and Kathy Burrow, and Second Flight winners were Jaramillo and Winters.

April 27 was a Fun Day competition with a color scheme on the scorecard being used to determine team scores and winners. The team of Tinky Ulivarri, Tammie Fuller, Jaramillo and Burleson took first place in the 18-hole category, and Dorothy Lindberg, Robin Holbrook and Fran Griffeth won the 9-hole category.

First Gross winners in the 18-hole division throughout the month were Jaramillo and Fuller, with Berta Murzyn winning three times. Nine-hole First Gross winners were Anna Martinez, Griffeth and Winters.

A birdie was scored by Jaramillo, while Redfearn-Moore and Jaramillo each made a chip-in.

During the month of May, the Ace Day competitions will continue, and on May 18 and 25 the Eclectic Tournament will be played.
