Ana “Anita” Peralta

Ana “Anita” Peralta, age 84, a former Los Lunas resident, was welcomed into heaven on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023. As she left this world, she was surrounded by her loving children.  

Anita was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She made a difference in the lives she touched. Anita retired from Los Lunas Schools after 30 years. 

Anita was most proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss her tremendously and are grateful to have had such a love in their lives.  

Anita is preceded in death by her husband, Joe I. Peralta; parents, Manuel and Trinidad Morales; in-laws, Ismael and Dulcenia Peralta; and grandson, Adam Peralta.  

She is survived by her daughters, Janice Lucero (Daniel) and Judy Sanchez (Jake); sons, James Peralta (Patricia), John Peralta (Gloria) and Christopher Angelo Peralta (Kasidra); grandchildren, Carlos Lucero (Heather), Cheri Lucero (Martin), Jason Sanchez (Carrie), Jenna Ramirez (Oscar), Aaron Peralta (Jessica), Gabriel Sanchez (Rachel), Desiree Luera (Samuel), Steven Burgin and Joe Norman Peralta; honorary granddaughter, Leanne Baca; and 12 great-grandchildren. 

All services will be held at Mission San Juan Diego in Meadow Lake, with a visitation will begin at 9 a.m., Monday, Nov. 27, with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. and a Funeral Mass celebrated at 10 a.m.
