Bennie Sanchez

Bennie Sanchez

1927-2024

Bennie Sanchez, age 96, sadly passed away on March 5, 2024. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time of her passing.

Bennie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eloy; her brothers, Roman, Faustin (Jennie), Leonardo, Tranquilino and Leo (Martha); and her sister, Ermelina; and her precious grandson, Jeff Salas.

She is survived by her brother, George (Lynda); and sisters, Lori (Dale) and Elma; also 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Bennie was the matriarch of the Sanchez family, and her family was her passion and delight. She had a boundless supply of unconditional love and kindness for all, especially for her children, their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bennie gave love and provided comfort and strength to those in need. Though Bennie’s health was failing for a few years, few people knew the extent to which she struggled.

Her joy for life and spirit was unbeatable. Bennie is remembered as a remarkable woman who although small in stature demonstrated amazing strength. Always willing to share whatever she had to give she taught by example to appreciate and love others. Her principles set an example admired by many.

We can shed tears she is gone, or we can smile because she has lived. Her memory will live forever in our hearts and we will love and miss her tremendously.

Per the family request, private services were held due to an abundance of caution and importance of social distancing due to the presence of Covid.
