Diana “Rumaldita” Artiaga 

1945-2024 

Diana “Rumaldita” Artiaga (Granny Dee), 78, of Los Lunas, joined our Lord on Jan. 31, 2024. 

Diana grew up and raised her three children, Walter, Denise and Chris (Buddy) down Los Lentes Road. She was adopted at birth by her parents, Eloisa and Rumaldo Artiaga, but was blessed to stay close to her birth family.  

She worked for Social Security until her retirement. She loved Willie Nelson, Bigfoot and her telenovelas. She also loved to journal, she wrote everything down from her day to day, Bible quotes and prayer. 

Diana was devout Catholic. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, auntie, sister, nina and friend. She made friends everywhere she went. Her love for God and for her family and friends was contagious and she will be deeply missed. 

Diana is preceded in death by her mother, Eloisa Artiaga; her father, Rumaldo Artiaga; grandson, Charles “Charlie” Davlin; and cousin, Irene Artiaga. 

She is survived by her sons, Walter and Chris Gallegos his wife, Ymelda; her daughter, Denise Gallegos her husband, Melvin; grandchildren, Eileen Pino her husband, David, Joaquin and Carmen Gallegos; great-grandchild, Charlee Pino; many godchildren; life-long friends, Ramona Trujillo, Carol Ladmirault, Eileen Blea, Cathy Triei and Rosie Gonzales.
