Francisco “Frank” Benigno Baca 

1931-2023 

Francisco “Frank” Benigno Baca, age 92, passed away peacefully on Aug. 12, 2023, at his beloved farm in Los Chavez.   

He is survived by his devoted wife of 71 years, Alice; son, Robert and wife, Renee; daughters, Geriann and Janell; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by son, Michael.   

Frank was born on Feb. 13, 1931, to Filomena and Refugio Baca. Frank was kind, humble and generous to all those who knew him. He followed his passion to teach and farm. He reminisced often of the many friendships and experiences serving as a navigator in the U.S. Air Force, educator and farmer.   

Frank and Alice enjoyed hosting people in their home to celebrate friendships and life. You rarely left the Baca home empty handed.  

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life for Frank on Saturday, Sept. 16, at Our Lady of Guadalupe mission church in Los Chavez, 4 Guadalupe Road.  

A visitation commences at 9:45 a.m., with a Rosary and eulogy at 10:15 a.m., followed by Mass at 11 a.m. Internment will follow at a later date at the Santa Fe National Memorial.
