He met the love of his life, Dorothy Pritchard, shortly after beginning his career at the Sandia National Laboratories. They were married and remained so for 42 years, as she was by his side in his final moments. He was a fun-loving friend, uncle and brother-in-law to many.

Pritchard, David and Connie, and Gregory and Karen Pritchard. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great and great-great nephews and nieces.

Ambercare of Belen was amazing during the time they spent with Gene and Dorothy, and they are much appreciated. Donations to the American Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers, would be appreciated.

A service was held at Daniels Funeral, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, Tuesday, May 16, followed by the burial at Sandia Memory Gardens in Albuquerque.
