Spooked Fair, Haunted Barn

A 4-H open house will be held from 5:30-7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 29, at the Valencia County Fairgrounds in Belen. There will be no entree fee to get into the event.

There will be free pumpkins to compete in the pumpkin decorating contest, 4-H club information and booths, stick horse races, trick or treat and a costume contest. The haunted barn will be open from 7-10 p.m., and costs $5 to enter.

 

Annual Arts & Crafts Fair

The First Presbyterian Church, 85 Manzano Expressway, Rio Communities, will again host its annual Arts and Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Oct. 29-30 October.

The fair includes many local vendors with offerings ranging from art to woodworking and everything in between. A portion of the proceeds go to church’s local outreach programs. Face masks are required.

 

Scarecrow Festival

The third annual Scarecrow Festival, hosted by the Belen Arts District and city of Belen, will be held from 4-7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30. There will be a total of 40 booths, including art vendors, food trucks, two live bands, a beer and wine garden and a dancing group.

A scarecrow parade and contest will be held at 5:30 p.m., with prizes for the top three. A costume contest will also provide prizes. Trick or treating is encouraged.

 

Halloween Party at the Drive-In

The village of Los Lunas is hosting a Halloween Party at Badlands Drive-In Theater from 5-10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30. There will be candy, games, rock wall, food trucks, a live deejay and dance floor.

There will be a costume contest at 7 p.m. for kids and adults on stage, where you’ll be shown on the big screen and have the chance to win some great prizes. The movie, “Beetlejuice” will be shown. This is a free event.

 

Halloween Drive-Thru

The Belen Railway Employees Credit Union, 300 N. Sixth St., will hold a Halloween Drive-Thru Party from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30.

 

Trunk or Treat

The city of Belen will hold a Trunk or Treat from 5-8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31, at Anna Becker Park in Belen. Register your decorated cars with Martha by calling 505-966-2700.

 

Fall Festival

First Los Lunas Baptist Church, 914 Los Lentes SW, Los Lunas, will hold its seventh annual Fall Festival from 4-6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31.

The festival is an outreach to the community, giving children a safe place to enjoy festivities for the evening. The free event includes games and candy.

 

Halloween party

The Secundino Baldonado American Legion Post 81, 325 S. Main St., Ste. D, in Belen, will hold a Halloween party for all legion members at 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30.

 

Trunk or Treats

The Secundino Baldonado American Legion Post 81, 325 S. Main St., Ste. D, in Belen, will hold a Trunk or Treat for the community at 5:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31.

The First United Methodist Church, 75 Manzano Expressway in Rio Communities, will have its Trunk or Treat from 4-6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31, in the church parking lot. There will be candy, cake walk and hot dogs.

 

Harvest Fest

Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley will hold a Harvest Fest at 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31. There will be a Trunk or Treat, hay ride, food and drinks, raffle drawing and games.
