He is survived by his children, Salomon Molina (Maria), Moises Molina (Teresa), Bernadette Zamora (Marty), Mary Silva (Jacob), Isabel and Carlina Molina; seventeen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

Herminio is preceded in death by the love of his life, Evangeline. They where married for 63 years.

Herminio was born and raised by his parents, Salomon and Fidela (Peralta) Molina. Herminio worked at Sandia Labs as a millwright for 35 years. Prior to that he worked at the Santa Fe Railroad, and also served in the National Guard for a short time, all the while he managed his farm and cattle.

He would also help the neighbors with their properties. He helped his children build their homes and helped out his grandchildren with what ever they needed.

Herminio was a “Jack of all trades.” He was a welder, butchered his own cows, raised chickens, planted alfalfa and a garden of chile most summers. Herminio had an amazing memory, he talked about things he did as a young child along with the places he traveled. He loved to travel and visit his family, especially in California.

Herminio loved to reminisce with friends and even strangers about “the good old days.” He was known for “dichos.” His favorite was “cada cabeza es un mundo,” which means, “each head is its own world.”
