Los Lunas native Jackie Chavez will be taking to the ring to fight Jodi Johnson from Denver, Colo., on Saturday, April 13, at the Isleta Casino and Resort Showroom.

The two women are slated to go four rounds in the first of six fights. The fight is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.

Chavez enters the fight with a 3-0 career record with two knockouts. This will be Johnson’s professional debut.

The main event will feature Joseph “Assassin” Brady going toe-to-toe with Jose “Goose” Ramirez. Both fighters are from Albuquerque. Brady is 9-0 with four knockouts and Ramirez is 9-8 in his career with six knockouts. The bout is slated to go 10 rounds.

In the semi-main event, “Viscous” Vernon Payne of Albuquerque (7-0, 4 KOs) will fight Jose Luis Cruz (12-9-3, 4 KOs) from D.F. Mexico City, Mexico, in an eight-round bout.
