Michael “Mike” Garcia, age 51, a resident of Belen, passed away on Nov. 16, 2022, due to his battle with cancer.

A public visitation was held on Tuesday, Nov. 22, followed by a funeral service at Romero Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 23, at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Michael Jr., Nathaniel, Jacob, Daniel and Alyssa Garcia, Jason Vigil, Lee Sanchez, Gary Stevens, Martin Candelaria and Emilio Mora III.

He will be remembered first and foremost for his dedication to his family, the impact he made on and off the basketball court to the many players he coached over the years.

Mike was a dedicated and loyal employee of more than 30 years to LPG Enterprises and the Garcia organization. He was also known around the car community to have some of the cleanest and fastest cars around.

Mike also loved to gather with all his family and friends, and serve them his famous smoked or grilled ribs, steaks and of course shots!

He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Sr. and Margaret R. Garcia; and his daughter, Alexis Monique Garcia.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Angela Garcia; sons, Michael Jr. (CaSondra), Nathaniel (Samantha), Jacob and Daniel; daughter, Alyssa; grandchildren, Noah, Axel and Shelby Garcia; brother, Antonio Jr. (Rachel); father and mother in- law, Tommy and Jesse Gonzalez; brothers-in-law, Emilio Jr. and Robert Mora (Samantha); sister-in-law, Denise Dominguez (Jesse); aunt, Lydia Rael; uncle, Francisco “Chico”( Jane) Rael; many nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends.
