Senior meal site

The Bosque Farms senior meal site will be returning to the Bosque Farms Community Center, 950 N. Bosque Loop. The serving time will continue to be 11:30 a.m. to noon. Those interested can call 869-5133 to inquire or to reserve a meal.

Mask craft kits

The Los Lunas Museum of Heritage and Arts is partnering with B&B Running Stitch to provide free craft kits for children to design their very own handmade masks. If you are interested, call 352-7720 to reserve your free craft kit. There are limited supplies, so first-come, first-serve. Pick up will be curbside only.

3D Archery Shoot

Hub City 3D Archery Shoot registration will be held from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 1, at Belen Eagle Park. The entry fee is $15 for youth and $30 for adults. Call Jason Gonzales at 865-4241 or Shawn Ammons at 966-2703 for information.

DWI checkpoints

New Mexico State Police will be conducting sobriety checkpoints, saturation patrols and registration, insurance and driver’s license checkpoints in all New Mexico counties during the month of August 2020.

Retiree Week

Kirtland Air Force Base is honoring military retirees with an innovative, safe and social-distanced Retiree Appreciation Week Aug. 17-21. Planned activities include free or discounted golf, bowling, special access to legal and military personnel services, cash bingo, ceramics and more. Reservations are required due to limited capacity of services and facilities during the pandemic. Food needed

Due to a growing need of many local residents, food pantries in the county are running low on what they can offer. They are in need of a variety of food.

If you can donate, take donations to the Belen Business Center, 719 Main St., next to the Belen Senior Center, during office hours, Monday through Friday. For information, call 966-2567.
