Eddie was born and raised in Albuquerque to Acacio and Dora Garcia Montoya. He married the love of his life, Angela, on Sept. 7, 1985. They moved to Peralta to start a family.

Eddie was employed with Sisneros Bros. Manufacturing in Belen for 26 years. He was a very dedicated and valued employee.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Angela Romero Montoya; children, Christopher Paul, Julieanna (Tommy) and Antoinette Montoya (Gabriel); grandchildren, Ezekiel, Xzavian and Azriella Ramirez; brother, Clarence Gabriel Montoya; sisters, Mary Louise Garcia (Ruben), Patricia Marie Montoya and Debra Ann Abeyta; and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Acacio and Dora Garcia Montoya; brother, Jimmy Montoya; and sister, Brenda Lee Montoya.

Eddie enjoyed being outdoors. He loved camping, fishing, working on his yard and especially family gatherings, but he loved spending time with his family the most. Eddie’s grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved sharing and showing pictures and videos of his grandkids.

Eddie was a jokester. Even to the end, he was still making jokes. Eddie didn’t like anyone making a big fuss over him. He would do anything for anyone in need. Eddie had a big heart and a unique laugh. He is going to be greatly missed.

May you rest in peace “Eddie, Eddie.”

Pallbearers will be Ezekiel, Xzavian and Gabriel Ramirez, Tommy Riser, Alex and Philip Sisneros, Ruben Garcia and Leo Chavez.
