It was a rainy weekend, but the 229th annual Our Lady of Belen Fiestas carried on without skipping a beat. This year saw the return of an old tradition – the burning of Old Man Quejas to carry away the worries of the community, dancing of the Matachines, carnival rides, fiesta burgers, and the parade, which carried through this year’s fiesta theme, “Lord, Make Me a Channel of Your Peace.”
