Three Valencia County golfers earned medalist honors during Friday’s Sun Country Junior PGA Tournament at Tierra Del Sol Golf Club in Rio Communities.

In the girls’ competition, Gianna Nilvo, of Los Lunas, finished third in the 16-18 division. Belen’s Sophia Myers was second in the 10-12 category.

In the boys’ 7-9 age group, Sebastian Tabet, of Los Lunas, was second.

Also at Tierra Del Sol Golf Club, Jay Tabet recorded Saturday the first hole-in-one of his career. Tabet used a seven iron to ace the 154 yard par three third hole.
