Sarah Luna

With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Sarah Luna, aged 79, on March 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at home.

Born in Jarales, to George and Ruby Marshall, Sarah was a devoted mother, who selflessly raised six children with unwavering love and dedication. Her boundless energy and commitment ensured her children had everything they needed, always putting their well-being above her own.

Despite facing numerous challenges, Sarah’s love and strength never faltered, filling the lives of those around her with warmth and laughter. A talented and multifaceted individual, Sarah excelled as an assembly-line worker, homemaker, cook, caregiver and gifted self-taught artist.

Her political convictions were strong, and she proudly identified as a Republican. Sarah was also a devout Elvis Presley fan. In her free time, Sarah found solace in gardening and enjoyed indulging in her favorite pastimes, including gambling and computer poker.

Her compassion extended to her beloved fur babies, whom she cherished and showered with affection. Sarah’s love, dedication and warmth will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and family will continue to inspire generations to come.

Sarah is survived by her children, Matt Luna (Mary), Jennifer Reese (Michael), Jonathon Rose and Kelly Rose; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She is now reunited with her siblings, Bud, David, Margie, Patsy, Pauline, Susie and Ben; and her beloved sons, Ray and Sam Luna, in eternal rest.
