Mabel Lorraine (Sais) Miranda

1942-2024

Mabel Lorraine (Sais) Miranda

Mabel was a devoted wife of 36 years before losing her husband to cancer. Her strong belief in God carried her through her darkest moments. She had a loving, generous heart, and was always encouraging and supportive.

She was a real mom who was an incredible cook (she loved New Mexico chile!) and baker. She had a great sense of humor and was loved by all who knew her.

Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Miranda Sr.; her parents, Eva and Pilar Sais, of Casa Colorada; her in-laws, Lorenzo and Mary Miranda, of Veguita; her brothers, Barney Sais, Primitivo Sais, Valentin Sais and Benjamin Sais; and her sisters, Celsita Harrison and Virginia Chavez.

Mabel is survived by her sister, Margaret Garcia (Abran); and by her six children, Diane Winfrey, Jacqueline Bourke (Russell), Albert Miranda Jr. (Carmen Mendoza), Michelle Smith (Robert), Debra Miranda and Phillip Miranda (Heidi); her grandchildren, Alexa Cavis (Jay Zamora), Brandon Cavis-Miranda, Breanna Miranda, Eric Miranda, Jacob Miranda, Peyton Smith, Baylee Smith, Megan Villalobos (Oscar), Adiah Miranda, Naomi Miranda and Samuel Miranda; her great-grandchildren, Angelyna Zamora, Ezryah Zamora, Cye Zamora, Aaliyah Miranda, Melanie Villalobos and Maddox Villalobos; her many nephews and nieces, and her sisters-in-law, Darlene, Pauline, Dolores, Rosie and Luby.

We want to thank Mabel’s caregivers, Debra Miranda, Breanna Miranda and Robin Vargas, who treated her with love, dignity and respect. Mabel will be greatly missed.

An online guest register is available at noblin.com.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, at the San Juan Mission Church in Veguita.
