Janet Cheryl McAtee (Jan), 71, resident of Los Lunas, peacefully passed away on May 10, 2023.

She was born in Lewistown, Mont., and grew up with two brothers and one sister. Jan married the love of her life, Robert Trujillo, and together they had four delightful children and four wonderful grandchildren.

Jan graduated in Lewistown, Mont., and later attended UNM-Valencia Campus, where she enjoyed many art and history classes. Jan and her beloved husband settled into Los Lunas, where they loved to spend time with friends and family.

Her marvelous cooking filled everyone with joy. She was a go-getter and lived her life with no regrets.

Jan leaves behind countless beautiful memories. Jan’s untamed spirit was adored by many.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Florence McAtee and Don McAtee; her husband, Robert Trujillo; two sons, Sean and Bobby Trujillo; and brother, Dennis McAtee.

She is survived by her children, Brandee and Randall; daughter-in-law, Wendy; siblings, Paul and Tammie McAtee; and grandchildren, Sean, Taylor, Angelica and Gregory Trujillo.

A celebration of Jan’s life will be held from 3-9 p.m., Friday, June 23, at the Bosque Farms Rodeo Association,1040 Arena Road, Bosque Farms.
